We live in a fast-paced world with little to no time for ourselves, let alone nature. Our favourite outdoor activities have moved inside, regardless if it’s sitting on a chair or laying on a sofa – it’s bad for your body’s weather.

The best thing you should do is start incorporating little outdoor activities that suit your taste – some people are simply more outdoorsy than others. But all in all, you should focus on all the fantastic benefits that come with those outdoor activities, they will surely make you get out of the house more!

Hiking

Probably one of the easiest things you can do is take a walk outside! Depending on where you live, you can always drive to a nearby forest or a hiking area and take a stroll in nature. It’s totally different from your day to day walk in the city, this way you can be a bit alone in and clear out your mind whilst being on your feet, active and physical. The good thing with hiking is that you can even bring a friend if you don’t want to be alone, even better as you’ll have someone else to motivate you to walk another mile! Walking is easy and you can do it literally everywhere – but make sure you switch up your scenery and maybe choose less crowded and busy spaces!

Cycling

Another easily accessible activity is cycling! If you don’t have lots of time to incorporate another activity in your tight weekly schedule, you can always switch going to work with a bike, and not by bus or car. This is a great way to get a bit of outdoor activity in your life, without spending a lot of time while doing it. Also clearing your head before and after work whilst riding your bike is phenomenal, and it will help a lot with both your mental and physical health. Cycling will shake up almost every muscle in your body – especially your legs, so it’s a way to build a bit of subtle leg muscle!

Kayaking

If you are looking for an adventure but don’t know where to start, why not look into kayaking? A lot of people shy away from activities on the water, but in all actuality, those are the most fun, and not to mention beneficial. Whilst you are paddling, your whole body is being activated, and your muscles are being well worked out – causing your body to exercise. This can be as calm or as extreme as you want it to be, but you can also use this time for fishing too! Basically, kayaking is a great activity, both for your body and for your mind! Get super toned arms while paddling, while at the same time enjoy the nature around you, fish, and get a little time for yourself to think and relax.

Yoga

Need a bit of time for yourself, but can’t seem to figure out what works for you? Maybe yoga is just the thing for you! This is a great way to focus on yourself, and it’s also a great stress relief as you are meditating outside, with preferably no noise and distraction from other people. Doing yoga somewhere in nature is such an amazing, calming experience, you’ll feel transformed and refreshed after it. Be it in a forest outside your town or in your very backyard – the effects are the same at the end of the day, just make sure you are doing it outside and focus on your wellbeing!

Gardening

What better way to spend your time outside than to start a new hobby, that can also be pretty lucrative. Even if you live in an apartment or have a giant backyard you can start a small garden! Plants and vegetables are a lot of fun, especially when you get to learn all the specific details about them and different types you can plant on your own. This is a good outdoor activity for those who can’t be super physically active, but still want to spend time in nature. This way you’ll have the stuff to focus on, and you’ll spend it outside, with fresh air and sunlight beaming in you.

Depending on your level of daily activity, and if your health allows you, you should totally incorporate at least one of these outdoor activities in your life, or try them once and see what works for you best. Bottom line is, as long as you are being active, it’s good in whatever form it may be. Your body needs to be active in order for it to work properly!
